Luis Antonio Thompson. Having a bad hair day.
Luis Antonio Thompson (or simply “Antonio”) wears a few different hats, including the one above. As the Venue Manager for Great Performances at Jazz at Lincoln Center, he is primarily responsible for successfully managing a multi-million dollar budget as well as directing all operational, HR, event, and marketing activities for a pretty cool venue.
As a content producer, he has created photography slideshows and produced/directed video projects for a variety of media and non-profit organizations, including Ebony.com, CentricTV.com, theGrio.com, CityLimits.org, The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture and The New York Public Library. Originally from Boston, he now resides in Manhattan, where he wanders into sports bars loudly cheering on the Celtics during Knicks games.
Aside from his super awesome family and friends, he is devoted to and has a great love for politics, socially conscious media/movements, good food & spirits, great music, and inspirational stories about random, everyday people.
The L.A. Thompson Project is his expression of all those things (and more) via original videos, original photography, and his own words.
A wise man once said “If you “Like” this page on Facebook, cool things begin to happen in your life,” and don’t you want cool things to happen in your life!?
Lastly, thoughts/comments are always welcome. If you have anything to say, email antonio [at] lathompson.com.
Life is short: Be Peaceful. Create. Love. Prosper.
