Luis Antonio Thompson

Luis Antonio Thompson. Having a bad hair day.

Until I get a properly written biography, we can start here: My name is Luis Antonio Thompson. Some folks call me “L.A.;” mostly everyone calls me “Antonio,” (including my friends and family); my mom calls me “Luis Antonio” when I’m in trouble. Yes, this is confusing.

I tend to boast about my breadth of executive experience, most notably as the former Mayor of Popeyes on 145th Street in Harlem. As the Mayor, I reversed the deficit, created jobs, and lowered taxes.

I like a lot of things, but I absolutely love smart politics, mindless humor, good food & spirits, jazz, soul, hip-hop, pop culture, art in all its forms, and inspirational stories. You’ll see a lot of that on this site in different formats: original videos, original photography, and in my own words. Also, a disclaimer – this site is still in the newbie stages, so much of the content you see are projects that I’ve executed as a freelance videographer/editor and photographer. More expressions of my own independent and creative vision will populate the site as time goes on. In the meantime, have fun & click around!

Oh, and last but not least — the internet is full of cool ways to stay informed & keep in touch. Someone told me that if you “Like” this page on Facebook, cool things begin to happen in your life. And of course, thoughts and comments are always welcome, so if you have anything to say, you can reach me at antonio [at] lathompson.com.
